Meet Our Executive Team
From Antigua to Trinidad and Tobago, we represent the heart of the Caribbean’s utility professionals.
KEVIN BENNETT - President
Kevin Bennett has served as Power Generation Manager at SKELEC since 2005. He actively engages with the community through initiatives such as donating to local schools. Kevin is recognized for his community contributions, including assisting with organizing the Dieppe Bay Fishing Tournament. He embodies optimism with his motto, "Today is going to be a good day!"
PEDRO FARRELL - Vice-President
Pedro Farrell joined the BWA in 1993, starting as a Clerical Officer before advancing to Systems Analyst in 1994. Since 1999, he has held the role of Manager of Information Systems. Pedro is also involved in the BWA Sports Club and serves on the Executive of Bargaining Unit 2 of the Barbados Workers Union. His hobbies include travelling, music, ballroom dancing, and gaming, guided by his belief, "The Lord doesn't give a man more than he can bear."
GENEISHA HENDRICKSON - Honorary Secretary
Geneisha Hendrickson has a diverse background in education, research, and corporate communications, starting at the University School of Veterinary Medicine and later working with U&M & M.T.B.S. She has served as the Corporate Communications Officer at SKELEC since 2021 and actively engages in community outreach. Her interests include event planning and leadership, with a motto "Where there is a will, there is a way."
SEAN BAILEY - Treasurer
Sean Bailey is an Accountant at the APUA, overseeing Accounts and Payroll with a BA in Accountancy from the UVL. He actively leads community and sports initiatives, including serving as President of the Johnson's Point and Crabbe Hill Community Group and the APUA Social and Cultural Club. Sean's interests include real estate, project management, cricket, and football, and he's committed to mentoring youth on financial literacy and life principles, guided by the motto, "We should lift as we climb.
LUCY WENDY LETT - Public Relations Officer
Lucy Wendy-Am Letts has been with GRENLEC since 1987 as a certified electrician. She owns Tenth's Flavors, a catering business, and founded "It Could Be Me", alongside roles as a firefighter with the Royal Grenada Police Force and a First Aid Responder with the St. John's Ambulance Brigade. Wendy values her motto: "Put God First."
VERONICA YEARWOOD - Immediate Past President
Veronica Yearwood is a hydrologist at the Antigua Public Utilities Authority. She also directs the Antigua Dance Academy, promoting cultural heritage through the arts, and is involved in various cultural and humanitarian initiatives. She values family unity, encapsulated by her catchphrase, "In Unity There is Strength."
JOSIANNA ANTOINE - Trustee
Josianna Antoine has served as a Senior Customer Service Clerk at DOMLEC since January 1, 2000, specializing in the company's Propsid (Pay As You Go) System for over 15 years. Beyond her role, Josianna is deeply involved in floral design, community service as Chairperson of the Giroukol Eggleston Village Council, and leadership at the St. Mary's Cooperative Credit Union.
VERNEL FRANCOIS - Trustee
Vernel S.K. Francois has been with LUCELEC since 2015, progressing from Purchasing Clerk to Human Resource Assistant in the HR Department. She actively supports philanthropic programs for underprivileged students and holds leadership roles in the LUCELEC Sports Club, known for her event coordination skills and passion for fashion. Her mantra is "Be yourself...everyone else is taken"
